NO technology?

Here's a question,

"What would happen to the world if there's NO technology?"

What do you think? Well for me, I think that if there's no technology we would still be living in the primitive era. Because even the stone-age has technologies that we called Primitive technology such as their indigenous skills, bushcraft, Stone Age technology, workshops and wilderness skills. Such things are already considered as technology back then.

EVEN THE FLINTSTONES HAVE TELEVISION!!
So as i was saying, if there is no technology i would not even able to blog about this cause blogger would not even existed! (Maybe life journal or diary is considered as blogging if there is no technology). Everything would be handicraft made without machines to help us creating stuffs because machines are also technologies.

A country would not be developed without technology, traditional life everywhere. Job classes are limited because there are no engineering and IT stuffs since technology does not exist. So i guess every one of us would choose to be farmers and hunters, the high standard jobs would be letter writers(lol).

Without technology in communications, it would be difficult for us to communicate because there are no telephones and such. Whatsapp would not exist, we can't keep on track with our friends Facebook updates cause Mark Zuckerberg can't create Facebook since there is no computer for him to create Facebook. Trading between countries will be hard because lack of communication medium. We would be sending letters using pigeons.

The world that we are living in would be dark and cold. Our only source of heat and light would be fire and there are no lamps made and no flashlight available.

Our cherished moments would only be stored inside our memory or drawings. No cameras. No Instagram moments.

A world without technology would be a world without entertainments, our entertainments would only be animal hides, hunting skills or hide and seek.

Traditional medical treatments everywhere, survival rate after getting infected with a disease are low.

The only way for us to travel would be using animals such as horses or camels. Travelling overseas would require us to build a raft and it would take a long time and chances of arriving to destination is below 100%

Just like the picture shown above, its blank. A world without technology would be boring and empty.

and finally.. NO TECHNOLOGY?? No games!! I cannot live like that!!

Virtualization and its effect to the world

In computing, virtualization means to create a virtual version of a device or resource, such as a server, storage device, network or even an operating system where the framework divides the resource into one or more execution environments. Even something as simple as partitioning a hard drive is two separate hard drives. Devices, applications as if it were a real single logical resource. The term virtualization has become somewhat of a buzzword, and as a result the term is now associated with a number of computing technologies including the following:

Storage virtualization: The amalgamation of multiple network storage devices into what appears to be a single storage unit.

Server virtualization: The partitioning a physical server into smaller virtual servers.

Operating system-level virtualization: A type of server virtualization technology which works at the operating system (kernel) layer.

Network virtualization: Using network resources through a logical segmentation of a single physical network.

Application virtualization: Application virtualization is layered on top of other virtualization technologies, such as storage virtualization or machine virtualization to allow computing resources to be distributed dynamically in real time.

Virtualization has already grown from a branch of technology to a broad technology concept nowadays ( just like the e-commerce and telephone network). In today's world, the main reason why IT organizations are considering virtualization of some, or all, of their computing infrastructures is that the technology helps to reduce costs drastically. The benefits of virtualization are usually primarily cost savings.

Benefits:

1. Magnified failures. In the physical world, a server hardware failure typically would mean one server failed and backup servers would step in to prevent downtime. In the virtual world, depending on the number of virtual machines residing on a physical box, a hardware failure could impact multiple virtual servers and the applications they can host.

2. Having fewer physical server saves you money on power bills, maintenance fees and datacentre office space and fees. Cheaper implementation.

3. Business doesn't stop. Consolidating software applications, operating systems and hardware platforms, leads to fewer redundant physical devices needed to serve as primary machines.

4. In computing, the benefits of virtualization are usually primarily cost savings.

5. Virtual servers are completely segregated from one another, running as though they rely on separate hardware, which decreases downtime during maintenance periods. Changes can be made to one virtual server without affecting others sharing the same hardware.

6. It makes business world more convenient rather than having many physical servers it is better to have virtual servers.

Preventive Maintenance Software

My last post was about things that you can do for preventive maintenance right? While this post i will be talking about PC software that you can use for preventive maintenance. FYI i'm using software that are trusted and free (well some are, i can't afford buying em y'know). These preventive maintenance software acts as an alternate disk utilities software for your PC but i set them up as my primary utilities programs for my laptop.

CCleaner

CCleaner, one of the Piriform's software product is a program that is use for cleaning up your hard drive. It is the number-one tool for cleaning your Windows PC. It protects your privacy online and makes your computer faster and more secure. Easy to use and a small, fast download. Cleaning up your hard drive removes unused files from your system allowing your PC to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It can also cleans traces of your online activities such as your internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner.

Now I've also mentioned a process called Disk Wipe on my last post right? When you delete a file, Windows removes the reference to that file, but doesn't delete the actual data that made up the file on your hard drive. Over time, this data will be overwritten as Windows writes new files to that area of the drive. This means that, given the right software, someone could reconstruct all, or parts of files that you've deleted. For privacy and security reasons, you can set CCleaner to wipe the free areas of your hard disk so that deleted files can never be recovered and free some space.

And it is FREE.

Defraggler

Defragging using Piriform's Defraggler is different. You can defrag exactly what you want. Other defragging programs are all-or-nothing: they don't have settings beyond defragmenting your entire hard drive at one go. Most users simply feels reluctant to do defragmentation because it takes too much time but don't worry, you can save time because there is also Quick Defrag. Simple enough for everyday users, and flexible enough for those demand the most options, Defraggler is your best choice to take control of your hard drive.

This one is FREE too.

Microsoft Security Essentials

This one is FREE too. Free software FTW. Microsoft security essentials help to guard against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software. It provides real-time protection for your home or small PCs. It supports Windows 7, Vista and XP. Available in 33 languages. It has comprehensive malware protection and it is simple. Free download. Protects you quietly in the background. Automatic updates. Trust me, every pendrives or external hard drives that has viruses in it (my friends' pendrives and external drives especially) got their viruses terminated and removed after plugging it into my laptop.

PC Preventive Maintenance

I stumbled upon this quote somewhere,

"Take good care of your PC, and it will take good care of you."
Well it's a nice quote thinking that if your PC crash you will lose all your data and cost you a lot. So readers, do take care of your PC or laptop like your husband or wife cause if you're a loner(not me lol) your laptop or PC is be your bestfriend and when it crashed.. your bestfriend dies.

Thus, preventive maintenance are done. It is the act of regularly scheduled check up of the computer hardware or software to ensure it to operate properly and help your computer live longer. I have some ways here on how to do preventive maintenance that hopefully will help your bestfriend (that is your PC) to live longer with you.

1.Cleaning your computer hardware.

Once in a while clean up your hardware, If your PC resides in a relatively clean, climate-controlled environment, an annual cleaning should be sufficient. But in most real-world locations, such as dusty offices or shop floors, your system may need a cleaning every few months.

Your PC's mortal enemies are heat and moisture. Excess heat accelerates the deterioration of the delicate circuits in your system. The most common causes of overheating are dust and dirt. Clogged vents and CPU cooling fans can keep heat-dissipating air from moving through the case, and even a thin coating of dust or dirt can raise the temperature of your machine's components.

2.Downloading the latest drivers for your hardware.

Update your drivers, slight chances of malfunctioning but you wouldn't wanna be outdated would you?

3.Latest software updates.

Update your software when there are updates available, i know you are reluctant to update everytime the notifications pops up but really sometimes you just have to and hope that its worth it.

4.Latest anti-virus protection updates.

Now this is important, NEVER EVER (Like Taylor Swift's never ever going back together) stop anti-virus updates or you will regret if your PC is being taken over by viruses and dies.

5.Running disk software utilities.

Clean up your hard drive once in a week, Defrag your hard drive once in a month and finally use Disk Wiper to extremely clean up your hard drive. It will improve your PC performance. Just do it if you have never ever done it even once with your PC.

I know running disk software utilities might be troublesome or you might think that its a waste of time, i used to think the same way until my last bestfriend passed away that is my Dell XPS. Since then i started to take a better care of my current laptop.

6. Delete unused programs or other files.

Now this is important, DELETE programs that you are not using. You might be thinking 'Oh this might come in handy someday' NO you are wrong instead it will destroy your PC one day. Stop compiling programs into your PC. Throw away software that are useless and not being used at all. Give your PC some space.

7.Give your PC a rest.

Your PC is your bestfriend, give him or her or whatever you wanna call your PC a rest once in a while. After using your PC with heavy works let your PC rest. Turn it off and go outside (get a life already)

PC HARDWARE TOOLS

So here's a post about PC hardware tools, well its about tools that you need for hardware maintenance on your pc. Why should you get to know them? Cause sometimes you will feel the need to maintenance your pc or laptop by yourself and you need to have the right equipment or tools, i have done it several times before (although i'm just cleaning my laptop's fan). You have to use the right equipment cause you don't wanna mess up your pc or laptop when it is already messed up right?

(note: Low quality pictures, took the pictures with HTC One V. btw.. DONT BUY ANY SMALL HTC PHONES. They suck. Seriously. I've used wildfire and One V. They're not good. I'm not saying HTC are not good, the big ones like One X are pretty decent. I've converted to Samsung btw and maaaaaaaaaan the satisfaction is tooooooo gooooood. Note II beats all.)

Screwdriver

There are many types of screwdrivers, the pictures shown above are different sizes of slotted screwdrivers and philip screwdrivers. They have different sizes because screws have different sizes too. Specific screwdrivers are use to loosen or tighten specific screws. Slotted screwdrivers are used for slotted screws while Philip screwdrivers are for Philip screws. Don't use Slotted screws for Philip screws, slight chances of damaging the screw hole so yeah use the right screwdrivers for the screws. For PC maintenance? To loosen or tighten the screws on your pc or laptop (obviously).

Nut driver

Nut driver is a tool for tightening nuts and bolts. Its similar to screw drivers except that it is use for bolts and nuts.

Soldering Iron

Soldering Iron is a hand tool used in soldering. It supplies heat to melt the solder so that it can flow into the joint between two workpieces. Be careful when you are using this because its very hot.

Tweezers

Reverse Action Tweezers and Tweezers. They are both tools used for picking up objects too small to be easily handled with the human hands. Not for plucking nose hair (lol).

IC Extractor

IC Extractor is used to extract chips from the motherboard. Again not for extracting nose hair (double lol)

Needle-Nose Pliers

Needle-nose pliers are both cutting and gripping pliers to bend, re-position and cut wire. It is also known as long-nose pliers, pinch-nose pliers or snipe-nose pliers. Given their long shape, they are useful for reaching into cavities where cables have become stuck or unreachable to fingers or other means.

Spanner

Spanner or Wrench (atau SPANAR nya urg Brunei) is a tool used to provide grip and mechanical advantage in applying torque to turn objects usually rotary fasteners such as nuts and bolts. What is shown above is an adjustable spanner.

IC Inserter

IC Inserter is a tool for inserting DIP devices or chip.

3-claw part holder

A 3-claw part holder is used to grab or retrieve small bits or parts. I had a hard time trying to take this picture, my hands are shaky you see. And my phone camera can't focus this thing (bummer).

Spare part tube

Spare part tube is where you store spare parts for your pc or laptop. As you can see in the picture above, there is a spare screw stored inside.

Wire Cutter

Wire Cutter is an accessory that is shaped like a cutting wrench. It allows you to cut and strip off wires.

These are tools that are needed for common PC hardware tools maintenance. Note that please be careful with some of the equipment and try not to injure yourself when doing PC maintenance especially when it comes to soldering. Tweezers are not for plucking nose hair.

Gordon Moore

Gordon Earl Moore, born in San Francisco, California in 3/1/1929, is an American co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of Intel Corporation. Under him, Intel introduced the world's first single chip microprocessor, the Intel 4004 invented by Intel engineers.

He is widely known for his bold prediction, popularly known as Moore's Law, states that the number of transistors on a chip will double approximately every two years. Intel has been maintaining this pace for decades, using this golden rule as both a guiding principle and a springboard for technological advancement.

Task 4 - Future Technology

So last week Sir Ahmad gave us a task, to draw our own invention with our own creativity. Inspired by one of the recent anime that I've just done watching, this is what i came up with..

It may look like a normal safety helmet for motorbike riders but there's three wires attached to it. Well, this is what i call the NerveGEAR. It brings games into reality even online games, this is the most ideal future technology that every gamer is looking forward to, to be in the virtual world of the game. The NerveGEAR sends a frequency wave that connects with the human brain and nerves, the user will actually stay still laying down while they're moving only inside their brain, what they will see is the virtual world of the game that they are playing.

p/s: Internet ku inda baik semalam sir so aku inda dapat post last night (Banar. Inda Tipu.)

Note: Actually took from SAO (Sword Art Online) Big fan here.
