Preventive Maintenance Software

My last post was about things that you can do for preventive maintenance right? While this post i will be talking about PC software that you can use for preventive maintenance. FYI i'm using software that are trusted and free (well some are, i can't afford buying em y'know). These preventive maintenance software acts as an alternate disk utilities software for your PC but i set them up as my primary utilities programs for my laptop.

CCleaner

CCleaner, one of the Piriform's software product is a program that is use for cleaning up your hard drive. It is the number-one tool for cleaning your Windows PC. Now I've also mentioned a process called Disk Wipe on my last post right? When you delete a file, Windows removes the reference to that file, but doesn't delete the actual data that made up the file on your hard drive. This means that, given the right software, someone could reconstruct all, or parts of files that you've deleted. For privacy and security reasons, you can set CCleaner to wipe the free areas of your hard disk so that deleted files can never be recovered and free some space.

This one is FREE too. Free software FTW. Microsoft security essentials help to guard against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software. Protects you quietly in the background. Automatic updates. Trust me, every pendrives or external hard drives that has viruses in it (my friends' pendrives and external drives especially) got their viruses terminated and removed after plugging it into my laptop.
